About Kentaro Miura

Kentaro Miura is a Japanese manga artist best known for his dark fantasy series Berserk. Miura was born in Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture, Japan, in 1966. He has been making manga since the early age of 10. In middle school, he began using professional drawing techniques, which improved the quality of his artwork. As a fan of Berserk and an artist myself, feel inspired to create works of art that are as great as Miura's. I like to spend my time copying the artwork to get a feel for his techniques.

In 1988, Miura released a 48-page manga known as Berserk Prototype, as an introduction to the current Berserk fantasy world. The current Berserk series has been ongoing since 1989. The manga has been adapted into a 25 episode anime TV series covering the Golden Age arc, which aired from Ovober 1997 to March 1998. A trilogy of films, Berserk: The Golden Age Arc was released in early 2012. a second anime TV adaptation was broadcasted in 2017 and 2017 for a total of 24 episodes.
